Our pre-k level 1 program begins at this age. The curriculum is specially designed to meet the needs of each individual child. Activities are based on a weekly theme unit, makes learning fun and enjoyable. Two and three year olds become more self sufficient in caring for themselves, and caregivers promote skills that enable them to become more independent. They also engage in more complex play activities.
Character training is introduced, and a monthly character word is discussed and integrated into their curriculum. Bible verses and stories are added to reinforce character traits. Lesson plans include art, music, computer, language, phonics, math, and science. Small centers are set up in the room where children can work independently or with a small group. Some activities are teacher directed, while others are geared for children to express individual exploration.
Other areas in the school that are available to the children is the indoor gymnasium, computer and arcade room, and theater.
The pre-k level 1 room is where each child experiences teaching methods as a building block to their successes, and will further their love of learning.
